It Didn't Start in a Beauty Lab.
It started with a Simple Question. Why are we putting ingredients on our skin that we wouldn't put in our bodies?
For over a decade, founder JR Knopp built manufacturing businesses here in the Midwest. Before that, he was chasing another dream as a Nebraska Husker football player. Skincare was never part of the plan.
But healthy living always was.
The Search For Something Better
JR has always believed the best solutions are usually the simplest ones. So when he started researching traditional skincare, one ingredient kept standing out above the rest: 100% grass-fed beef tallow.
For centuries, beef tallow has been trusted to moisturize and protect skin. Its fatty acid profile closely resembles the skin's own natural oils, making it an incredibly effective moisturizer without relying on long ingredient lists full of fillers or unnecessary additives.
The Problem
Most tallow products still weren't what JR was looking for.
Many formulas diluted the tallow with oils he didn't want, had an overpowering scent, or simply didn't feel luxurious enough to use every day.
So he decided to build one himself.
